The Young Women in Public Affairs Awards Subcommittee is a subcommittee to the standing Status of Women Service Committee. Its members have knowledge of public affairs and youth development, scholarship requirements and recipient responsibilities, and are dedicated to encouraging young women to pursue leadership positions in public affairs, public policy and community organizations.

Some of the responsibilities include evaluating District award recipients' applications and selecting the recipients for the International awards, establishing criteria for Award eligibility, evaluation standards and scoring of applicants, and suggesting improvements for the Award program.
